Carolyn Edlund brings to CHF her extensive expertise on sales and event management. She is the former executive director of the Arts Business Institute, a nonprofit organization specialized in providing business education and training to studio artists, craft professionals, and other creative entrepreneurs. In that capacity, she presented more than 50 live business workshops and wrote seven online business courses for artists and makers.
Carolyn is also the co-founder of Artsy Shark, a popular blog that publishes features on artist portfolios and articles on the business of art. Founded in 2009, it was listed as a “top-ten art blog” by Art Business News.
Her background includes 20 years of experience running a production studio and selling her collection in the wholesale marketplace. During that time, she participated in 200 retail fairs and trade shows, and built an account base of 1,000 stores, catalogs, and other vendors who retailed her line.
